Digital Opera Saint Petersburg «Сказки Пушкина. ЖИЗНЬ КАК ЧУДО.

The V International Festival of Contemporary Opera Art, Digital Opera Saint-Petersburg, moved from the cozy and small-format spaces of the Hermitage Theatre to a larger venue nearby on the occasion of its fifth anniversary. The final of the competition, a theatrical gala concert, took place on the stage of the St. Petersburg Musical Comedy Theatre. However, the reason for this move was not only the scale and numerology of the event, but also a qualitative change in the festival. From being purely a stage-based festival that explored various multimedia forms, it evolved into a more theatrical event.

On April 24, the finalists of the 5th International Competition of Media Artists and Directors Digital Opera. Performance. held a gala concert on the stage of the Musical Comedy Theatre. The teams performed together with opera artists and the Tavrichesky International Symphony Orchestra under the direction of the orchestra conductor Mikhail Golikov.

The V International Festival of Contemporary Opera Art “Digital Opera Saint-Petersburg / Opera of the Digital Era” ended with the Gala Concert “PUSHKIN’S FOLK TALES. LIFE AS A MIRACLE”. The final event was a multimedia show called "Pushkin's Fairy Tales. Life as a Miracle," which took place on April 24 at the St. Petersburg Musical Comedy Theatre. The show featured excerpts from Rimsky-Korsakov's operas "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" and "The Golden Cockerel," Glinka's "Ruslan and Lyudmila," and Dargomyzhsky's "Rusalka." The performance was accompanied by the Tavrichesky Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Mikhail Golikov, and featured performances by Mariinsky Theatre soloist Olga Pudova and Sergey Nekrasov, the director of the All-Russian Pushkin Museum.
