«Paradise of Peter the Great. Flood» is a multimedia performance that became the finale of the 4th International Digital Opera Festival in 2022. The event took place on October 15, 2022, at the Hermitage Theatre in St. Petersburg, with the participation of the Tavrichesky Symphony Orchestra and opera soloists. The project was dedicated to the 350th anniversary of Peter the Great and explored his vision of St. Petersburg as a «Paradise,» a city of dazzling palaces and granite embankments, but also a harsh one, built on the bones of the dead and surviving devastating floods. Twenty media artists competed in the categories of «digital set design» and «digital direction.»
