«Андрей Иванович возвращается домой» — нео-баллада по одноименной поэме Фаины Гримберг, поставленная театральной компанией «Открытое пространство» . Премьера состоялась 12 января 2013 года на Малой сцене театра «Балтийский дом» в Санкт-Петербурге . Режиссёр — Роман Габриа, художник-постановщик — Сергей Новиков . Спектакль рассказывает о двух женщинах, ожидающих возвращения солдата с войны . Жанр определяется как «былина настоящего времени»: в основе — соединение драматического театра, характерного танца и былинно-частушечного распева . Главный символ сценографии Новикова — огромное каменное колесо, олицетворяющее безжалостное «колесо Истории», которое перемалывает людские судьбы . За эту работу Сергей Новиков получил высшую театральную премию Санкт-Петербурга «Золотой Софит» в номинации «Лучшая работа художника».

У этой небольшой поэмы архитектоника сказки, композиция героического мифа: рождение и взросление героя, уход на войну, смерть, явная или мнимая, дорога-испытание, ритуальный плач на могиле, чудесное воскресение.
