Действие происходит в Венеции XVI века и рассказывает страстную историю знаменитой поэтессы и куртизанки Вероники Франко и её возлюбленного Марко Веньера . Сценография Сергея Новикова воссоздает на сцене уникальный город на воде — с гондолами, каналами и площадью Сан-Марко . Это история любви, которая проходит через войны, чуму, предательство и оказывается сильнее всех испытаний.
