Gennady Gladkov’s musical fairy tale «The Bremen Town Musicians» is based on the famous Soviet animated film from 1969. The story revolves around a young Troubadour and his four animal friends, who become traveling performers. They outsmart the foolish King and the bandits, and the Troubadour finds love with the beautiful Princess. The songs from the film, such as «There’s Nothing Better in the World» and «Golden Sunbeam,» have become beloved by the public for their combination of rock and roll rhythms and melodic tunes. The success was overwhelming: the record sold 28 million copies.
